ENPHO is delighted to announce its achievement as a winner of Water and Food (WAF) Award 2015 along with co-winners Turenscape from China and SOIL from Haiti. The award ceremony was held on 24th October, 2015 at Kuala-Lumpur, Malaysia. ENPHO along with other co-winners was selected as a winner from a list of more than 30 contenders around the world. The award has been presented to ENPHO for its notable contribution in safe water through bio-sand filter entrepreneur’s network to rural and local communities in Nepal.
WAF award is presented every year to the organization or individual for outstanding contribution in water and food sector and celebrates the initiatives that have met the criteria of sustainability, innovation, empowerment, scalability, replicability, social and environmental impact. The ceremony took place in presence of HRH Zama-Zulu, Princess of South Africa and Prem Rawat-International Peace Ambassador and Chief Patron WAF award.
Mr. Ash Kumar Khaitu, Project Officer and Mr. Rameswor Adhikari, WASH Trainer from ENPHO participated in the event. Also, presentation on “Innovative Bio-Sand Filter (BSF) Local Entrepreneurship Model” was made by Mr. Adhikari.
